The Supply Chain Associate will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the supply chain team. This includes procurement, inventory management, and logistics coordination to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. The role involves working closely with vendors, internal teams, and the Supply Chain Manager to meet project needs and maintain high operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in procurement activities, including vendor management, purchase orders, and sourcing.
- Coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory audits and reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement, logistics, and inventory activities.
- Support supplier evaluation and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse and Inventory Associate to ensure efficient storage and distribution.
- Assist in preparing reports and analyzing supply chain performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Conduct quality checks on received goods to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Work with vendors and internal teams to address quality-related issues and discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
- Professional Qualification in Supply Management (added advantage).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics or inventory management.
- Experience in the power, renewable energy, or electrical equipment sector is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of procurement and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in using supply chain software and tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
