The Supply Chain Associate will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the supply chain team. This includes procurement, inventory management, and logistics coordination, where necessary, to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. The role involves working closely with vendors, internal teams, and the Supply Chain Manager to meet project needs and maintain high operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support procurement activities, including vendor sourcing, quotation analysis, purchase orders, and delivery follow-up.
- Coordinate logistics and transportation to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods and materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock audits, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement, logistics, and inventory transactions in the supply chain system.
- Assist in evaluating suppliers, tracking performance, and maintaining the vendor database.
- Collaborate with the Warehousing Team to ensure efficient storage, documentation, and distribution of materials.
- Prepare and update supply chain reports and key performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and process optimization.
- Conduct quality checks on received goods and resolve issues with vendors or internal teams.
- Ensure all procurement and logistics activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, and Finance teams to align material requirements, budgets, and delivery timelines.
- Utilize digital tools, supply chain management or ERP tools to track and update procurement and logistics data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
- Professional Qualification in Supply Management (added advantage).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics or inventory management.
- Experience in the power, renewable energy, or electrical equipment sector is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of procurement and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in using supply chain software and tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
